Cameroonian/Nigerian, possibly early 20th century, comprising: one Western Grassfields area, carved face form with lobed hairstyle and open mouth, traces of white pigment coloring eyes and teeth, 13 x 9 x 5-1/2 in.; two Western Forest area, one oval elder mask with traces of red pigment coloring ears, one rectangular form with black and red dyed hide covering and splint inlaid teeth, larger 17 x 8-3/4 x 6 in. - Provenance: Property from a Private Collection Sold to Benefit The University of Georgia Foundation

surface dirt layer and accretion, scattered surface scratches, cracks, and chips throughout; lobed head example with crack to top verso, some possible pest damage (several small holes scattered throughout) ; oval form with red ears with some possibleÿpest damage (several small holes scattered throughout) , large crack through proper left side and at top proper right (visible verso) ÿ
