probably French, late 19th century, boldly variegated green-to-ocher stone set with gilt bronze mounts, square top rotating over a square column on stepped base, 40-3/4 in., minor scratches to top, stone with natural cracks and inclusions throughout, crack and glue repair to square support for rotating top, edge chips and separations at joints at base, chip and loss at one corner of base, scattered minor surface distress to mounts.
