French, 19th century, heavy oval rouge marble top on a gilt bronze capital, column in pale pink-to-aubergine variegated marble, rouge marble stepped base set with gilt bronze mounts in the Louis XVI style, 46-1/2 x 11-1/2 x 17-1/2 in., generally good condition with some scratches to top, scattered minor edge and corner chips at base, some gilding wear and polish residue to mounts.
