Two portraits of Austro-Hungarian Officers: one wearing a pelzmutze and facing right, signed "C. Freyberg/1896" (Conrad Freyberg, 1842-1915); one facing forward, signed "G. Biermann" (Gottlieb Biermann, 1824-1908), both signed lower left, oil on canvas, both 31-1/4 x 25 in.; similar original wood frames, each sitter identified on handcarved wood placards affixed to top of frame.
