late 18th century, floral scrolled pediment centered by a spreadwing phoenix, egg and dart cornice, blocked surround with acorn and oak leaf stiles, beveled mirror plate, serpentine base, 60-1/2 x 25-1/2 in.
Condition
phoenix finial is loose/not attached and rests on top of mirror secured by a bracket, phoenix wing has been repaired, finial structure repaired with later flathead screw, later gilt surface with some areas of original gilt, scattered losses to gilt surface, scattered shrinkages and veneer repairs, backboards with old patched repairs, various other wear expected with age and use
