One-page, Folio, January 19, 1750/1 George II, King of England (reign: 1727-1760) a warrant to Sir William Gooch, Lt. Gov. of Virginia, for the appointment of Philip Ludwell to the Council of Virginia, also signed by the Duke of Bedford, with embossed stamps, 12 x 7-3/4 in.; gilt-decorated frame measuring 19-1/4 x 14-3/4 in., very good with evidence of folding, small amount of splitting at the folds, not affecting the text, minute amount of darkening to the paper.
