flintlock action, .80 cal., 46 in. round barrel, possible "COLDSTREAM" stamp on top of barrel, lock plate marked "GALTON/1761" behind cock, engraved crown over "GB" on lock plate beneath pan, walnut full stock with brass forend cap, flared ramrod guide, thimbles, trigger guard, serpentine side plate, and butt plate, trigger with curl, steel ramrod, 62-3/4 in. overall

Note: The British Coldstream Guards are the oldest continuously serving regular regiment in the British Army. Three companies of these guards fought in the American Revolutionary War under Colonel Edward Mathew. We have documentation on file from the owner about the Coldstream Guards during the Revolutionary War and supposed chain of ownership.
Condition
handling wear to wood stock and metal components, dents, dings and abrasions, metal components with patina and oxidation, rust in barrel, chips and abrasions to stock, small loss to stock under trigger guard, dents to some brass components, trigger, cock and frizzen all appear to be in working order
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
