Important pair of scrolls by one of the best [Nanga] painters of the Edo period, both of waterfalls and stone landscapes, with Chinese-style villas and sightseers viewing the falls, in [tomobako], with old unread calligraphy notes inside the box, image area 38 x 13-1/2 in.; with two pair of scroll weights, (four pieces). Condition: images in good condition, creasing and some spotting to non-image areas; tomobako age stained.
