all possibly of Randolph County make, late 1800 to early 1900s, bullet form jug, runny mottled olive green alkaline glaze, short wide spout, short fat strap handle, 10-1/2 in.; canning jar, mottled olive green alkaline glaze, ridged neck, thick flared rim, lid ledge, 10 in.; ovoid storage jar, runny olive green over brown alkaline glaze, inscribed "2" at shoulder, small applied lug handles at shoulder, curved ridged neck, flared rim, lid ledge, 12-1/4 in.; pitcher with dark olive green alkaline glaze, large strap handle, wide spout, 9-1/2 in.

Note: The ovoid storage jar could have been made at the Leopard Pottery, Randolph County or by Charles King Oliver Tuscaloosa County.

Condition

glaze voids and anomalies, minor surface wear and abrasions, minor glaze and clay body chip, jug with rim wear and small 1/2 in. rim chip, other tiny chips to edge of rim, kiln debris, canning jar with 8 in. hairline around base edge, rim edge wear, 1 in. firing anomaly to lower body, paint residue, two small clay body chips, ovoid jar with 1/2 in. rim chip and other small rim chips and wear to the entire rim, 1/2 in. glaze chip, two other smaller glaze chips to body, residue on exterior, pitcher with 1-1/4 and 3/4 in. rim chips, other rim wear and chips, 3/4 in. handle chip, base edge chips and wear, illumination under black light due to residue on body and rims of pieces

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
