Qing dynasty, ovoid form bottle, depicting figures in a landscape, underglaze blue Qianlong reign mark on base, 3 in.; cylindrical bottle, depicting dragon chasing a pearl, bird mark to base, 2-3/4 in.; cylindrical bottle with metal cap, depicting a dragon, 3-1/8 in.; cylindrical vase, with continuous architectural and seascape scenes, 4 in.; four sided encre de chine vase, landscape scenes, gilt taotie masks, iron red seal mark to base, 3-1/2 in. - Provenance: Collected in Shanghai, China prior to 1902 by Frederick and Margaret Haskell; By descent in family to Frances Arnold; Private Collection, Newnan, Georgia - Note: Objects from this personal collection were acquired in Shanghai, China between the years 1862-1902. They were collected by Frederick and Margaret Haskell. Mr. Haskell was the owner of the Japan and China Trading Company. The couple retired to Lake Weir Florida in 1902, bringing these collected objects with them to the United States and they descended through the family to current day. Qianlong marked bottle with infilled firing cracked to base; encre de chine bottle with chips to rim and gilt loss; all with minor pin holes, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use
Purchased items not picked up in Richmond by noon on Sunday will then be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
