porcelain ovoid form vase depicting figures, 1-7/8 in.; two water pots with depictions of figures in a landscape, both with underglaze blue Chenghua reign mark within double ring mark to base, tallest 2 in.; small porcelain bowl with architectural and landscape scenes and character text, gilt accents, underglaze blue double ring mark around foot, 3 in. diameter; small porcelain lidded teapot depicting crabs and sea grass with poetic inscriptions, handle with braided square knot, 2-1/4 in. - Provenance: Collected in Shanghai, China prior to 1902 by Frederick and Margaret Haskell; By descent in family to Frances Arnold; Private Collection, Newnan, Georgia - Note: Objects from this personal collection were acquired in Shanghai, China between the years 1862-1902. They were collected by Frederick and Margaret Haskell. Mr. Haskell was the owner of the Japan and China Trading Company. The couple retired to Lake Weir Florida in 1902, bringing these collected objects with them to the United States and they descended through the family to current day.
