Table possibly Charleston, South Carolina, circa 1800, single-board figured mahogany top with reeded edges, three dovetailed drawers with white pine and white cedar(?) secondary, finely tapered legs set on brass casters, rich reddish-brown color, 31-1/2 x 23 x 17-1/4 in.. Notes: A related work table with three drawers and reeded-edge top is illustrated in Rauschenberg and Bivins, The Furniture of Charleston 1680-1820, fig. NT-89, p. 730.

Condition

excellent condition overall, brasses replaced (no plugged holes), some framing joints are somewhat loose, one drawer divider with miscut mortise (appears to be as made)
