Top Chest attributed to Thomas Matteson, South Shaftesbury, Vermont, circa 1835, hinged dome top with open interior, original iron lock, the exterior boldly grain-painted in shades of yellow, ocher and blue/green, 12-3/4 x 29-1/2 x 14-1/2 in. excellent condition overall, some cracks and separations at top, wear and abrasions especially at edges with some associated paint losses, lid lacking lock hasp and with several associated holes. Condition
