Top Chest
attributed to Thomas Matteson, South Shaftesbury, Vermont, circa 1835, hinged dome top with open interior, original iron lock, the exterior boldly grain-painted in shades of yellow, ocher and blue/green, 12-3/4 x 29-1/2 x 14-1/2 in. excellent condition overall, some cracks and separations at top, wear and abrasions especially at edges with some associated paint losses, lid lacking lock hasp and with several associated holes. Condition
Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser’s risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges.
