British, figured mahogany top with oval veneer panel, above three dovetailed drawers with mahogany linings in the frieze, one side with two drawers, flanked by oval patera, resting on reeded and tapered legs, on brass casters, carved foliate motif at top of each leg, 28-1/2 x 41 x 36 in. - Note: The Mallett catalog indicates that "the use of similar oval patera in the frieze blockings is a motif repeated in a small group of tables attributed to Ince & Mayhew. These include a writing table at Woburn supplied to the Duke of Bedford in 1790, and also a corner table in Blenheim for the Fourth Duke of Marlborough." - Provenance: Mallett (illustrated in the Mallett 2013 calalog pg. 56-57); Estate of Robert K. Johnson, Aiken, South Carolina
