British, late 18th century, in the Adam taste, with carved molding above a tapered pilaster column with applied garland, carved and scrolled capitals and barber pole inlay, lion's paw feet and carved base molding, on lead weighted pedestal base, rich brown color, 43 x 12 x 7-1/2 in.

probably formerly built in, each side with triangular face patch and restored lower base molding, otherwise good with rich brown color, typical minor surface bumps and wear including top of pedestal, minor patch at one front corner
