Upholstered Library Chair
British, mid-18th century, leaf-carved hand grips and arm supports, carved knees, cabriole legs front and back resting on pad feet, set on brass and leather casters, 39-3/4 in.. Provenance: Malcolm Franklin, Chicago, 1979, (copy of receipt accompanies lot); Private Collection, Wilson, North Carolina
appears to be in excellent condition, later blocking to seat frame, pest damage to seat rails, not examined under upholstery
