Massachusetts, 1750-1770, finely grained mahogany, figured single board top, valance drawer over a paneled cabinet door, dovetailed drawers set with probably original brasses, set on bracket feet, white pine and red cedar secondary, 29-1/2 x 35-1/2 x 22-1/4 in. - Provenance: one drawer with old label "I give this desk to my son Andrew Oliver, it being an Oliver heirloom. very good condition overall, appears to retain original brasses, some foot repairs and restorations including one rear facing probably replaced, break and repair to other rear facing, one front foot facing pieced 2-1/2 in., other possible foot repairs (see detailed photos), minor crack at top of door frame
