Rhode Island or Massachusetts, possibly the Mason-Messinger shop tradition, 1670-1710, appears to be chestnut and walnut, surviving with a very fine old reddish brown paint surface, wrought iron butterfly hinges, open interior with shelves, the back with scratched initials "RH", rose head nail construction, a rare form and fine condition, 11 x 24-3/4 x 19-1/2 in.
