Franklin, Williamson County, five alphabetic bands over˜"Roxana M'Gee's sampler/Franklin, Tenn august, 1839", and a two line verse,˜central vase of fruit flanked on either side by wreaths, dated "1793" and "1799", wide floral border on three sides, finely worked in a variety of stitches including cross, chain, eyelet and satin, silk on linen, 16-1/2 x 16-1/2 in. (sight); later mahogany stained frame, 22 x 22 in., lot accompanied by documentation from the Tennessee Sampler Survey, which attributes it to the "Vase and Cartouche" group of Middle Tennessee samplers; along with extensive genealogy records and family historyNote:˜Literature: Illustrated in [Williamson County Historical Journal], No. 43, 2012, pp. 26-27.Roxana (1825-1904) was the granddaughter of Rev. For regional auctions, purchased items not picked up in Richmond by noon on Sunday will then be returned to our Asheville location auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
