Baskerville, 1773, four volumes, one of the great masterpieces of Italian Renaissance literature, with black and white portrait frontispiece of Ariosto and several black and white illustrative plates, bound in full patterned brown leather with gilt ruling, marbled endpapers, five raised bands, elaborately gilt spines, one red and one green morocco spine label on each volume, 9-1/2 x 6-1/4 in. very good, a bit of wear at the extremities, some loss at the top and bottom of the spines, bookplates on the front free endpaper of each volume.
