Japanese, late 1940s, incredibly detailed miniature sets of village life in wood, paper, pottery and fabric, mostly in original boxes, including: tea house, farmhouse, sushi stand, sushi restaurant, pottery shop, toy shop, [Kabuki] theater and [Kabuki] entrance, box size 2-1/2 x 5 x 3-1/2 in. to 3-1/2 x 6-3/4 x 5-1/2 in.. Condition: minor losses, loose pieces. Notes: Prof. Bennett seemed especially proud of these miniature scenes and thought them both rare and valuable.
