likely John Landrum Pottery, Horse Creek Valley, possibly 1840s, dark brownish alkaline glaze, large green glaze runs to side, ovoid form with nicely arched strap handle, collared rim, "EP" in upside down script on shoulder of jar, two slash marks below spout, 14 in.
