(attributed to Robert Brown, Arden, North Carolina, 1951-2015), unglazed form with varying coloration, applied facial features including large pronounced nose with large nostrils, thick lips surrounded by incised goatee, also incised eyebrows and eyelids, inset eyeballs, horns protruding from back of head above ears, applied strap handle from shoulder to rim spout, 13-1/4 in.. Condition: clay body anomalies as made, minor loss to end of goatee, possible restoration to tip of left horn.
