Note: Serial number denotes this Colt as being from the era of U.S. Cavalry issued revolvers, serial numbers 12,000 through 14,000. These nickel plated examples were distributed throughout the U.S. and Mexico and the finish differentiated them from standard government issue blue and case colored examples. There are no evident inspectors marks on the firearm and this Colt has not been authenticated.

Condition

re-nickled, rebarreled, heavily buffed, some handling wear and surface abrasions, oxidation, areas of wear to finish at several places on barrel, backstrap, and frame, rifled bore with some frosting, chambers in relatively good condition, likely alteration to front sight, barrel measures 7-3/8 to cylinder, all mechanisms and action appear to be in working order
