Lambeth, England (established 1815), baluster form with incised ornament colored in shades of brown and blue and including palmetto and acanthus leaves, painted blue-green birds with white accents with wings raised on incised twigs, impressed on bottom circular device with "DOULTON" and "LAMBETH" and incised artist's initials conjoined "FEB" (probably Florence E. Barlow) and script "HC", 12-7/8 in.,. Provenance: Florence Barlow painted birds and flowers at Doulton's Lambeth works from 1873 to 1909. Her ceramic work was widely exhibited, including the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition (1876) and the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition (1904).
