with Birds by Florence Barlow Lambeth, England (established 1815), baluster form with incised ornament colored in shades of brown and blue and including palmetto and acanthus leaves, painted blue-green birds with white accents with wings raised on incised twigs, impressed on bottom circular device with "DOULTON" and "LAMBETH" and incised artist's initials conjoined "FEB" (probably Florence E. Barlow) and script "HC", 12-7/8 in.,. Provenance: Florence Barlow painted birds and flowers at Doulton's Lambeth works from 1873 to 1909. Her ceramic work was widely exhibited, including the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition (1876) and the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition (1904). She also exhibited at the Royal Academy (watercolors in 1884 and 1885) and at the Royal Society of British Artists (1883 and 1889); Private Asheville, North Carolina Collection
