Tree, 1992, signed, dated lower edge "Denis Bribat 92", numbered 4/4, toned gelatin silver print, sight, 18-3/4 x 23-1/4 in.; frame, 29 x 34 in.
Note: Brihat creates a unique surface on his darkroom prints by toning them with salts of gold, iron, selenium, vanadium, and uranium, among other metals. The metals react with the silver salts in the emulsion, and produce unique toned effects and surfaces. His work an be found in the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Mus‚e des Beaux Arts, Neuchƒtel; the Mus‚e Cantini, Marseille; the BibliothŠque Nationale de France; the Centre Pompidou, Paris; the European House of Photography, and the National Foundation for Contemporary Art, Paris.

not examined out of archivally sealed frame, print appears in good condition; frame with some separation at corners, broken glass
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
