Massachusetts, late 18th century, on ball and claw feet, fitted interior, leather tooled writing surface, mahogany throughout with white pine secondary, dovetailed construction, 44 x 44 x 24-1/2 in.
refinished, brasses and pulls replaced, patches to case and at hinge at fall board, cracks at case side, some rebuilding and restorations to underside of writing surface, original feet with extensive wear and one return replaced, lopers replaced and possible other restorations to interior writing surface
