Tilt-Top Tea Table
British, 18th century, octagonal top set with pierced gothic gallery tilting over a box-form and stop-fluted support on leaf-carved tripod base and feet set on casters, 31-1/2 x 35-1/2 in.. Condition: breaks, repairs, restorations and color retouch to gallery, top with surface stains and one crack with butterfly patch at back, crack and plugged screw repair to pedestal, catch for top replaced, crack to one ankle, battens reset, box-form support with crack and butterfly patch, possible reshaping to edge of tabletop.
