(California/Connecticut/Indiana, 1862-1942) Women Painting Among the Eucalyptus Trees, circa 1925, signed lower right "Charles Reiffel", oil on fiberboard, 18 x 20 in.; original gilt wood frame with Indianapolis frame label verso, flaking with voids at leg and in sky, board convex, yellowed varnish; loss to upper left corner, 2 in. split in top layer of ground through paint, split at lower left corner. Notes: These works (also lot 357) were given to Mary Christiana Reiffel Kryter by the artist who shared common ancestry with their grandfather, Peter Reiffel..
