Ewer Chinese, probably 19th century, rare and finely potted in the form of a peach fruit with leaves, tendrils and branches, glazed overall in deep aubergine eggplant-toned glaze with handle, spout and base with turquoise glaze, high splayed foot, concave base with tube leading up center for filling burnt reddish from glaze residue, 7-1/4 in., roughness to foot where base stuck to kiln floor when firing, flaw on one side and to handle, scratches.
