probably Pennsylvania or Maryland, 1790-1810, serpentine front rail and inlaid tapered legs, seat frame with chestnut secondary, 45 in. minor abrasions and wear to legs, modern upholstery in good condition, seat frame formerly fitted with two braces now missing (otherwise not examined under upholstery but images of the chair without its upholstery accompany the lot and the frame appears to be in excellent condition), fitted with later casters.
