Mahogany Lolling Chair
New England, circa 1800, arched crest, molded legs with stretchers, fine yellow-striped upholstery, 43 x 28 x 25 in., minor crack at one front leg, legs and stretchers with areas of color retouch, legs and stretchers not pinned (as made), front legs each with patch and two small filled holes at lower front, crack and two later plugged screws at base of one arm support, other surface wear (not examined under upholstery); accompanied by several photographs of the chair during the reupholstery process.
