probably Baltimore, 1810-1820, with deeply reeded crest over reeded and scrolled arms with finely turned and reeded supports, set on faceted plinths, on reeded legs with brass casters, 38 x 78-1/2 x 26 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, Madison, Virginia
break and repair at one arm support, crack and glue repair at one corner of crest, some minor veneer cracks, and repairs, probably original leaf decorated casters, probable repairs at central rear legs (one with apparent joint at top, leg appears original, the other is laminated, both appear to have good age), not examined under upholstery, upholstery with stains and wear, some minor losses to turnings at cuffs
