Decorated Eagle-Carved Mirror
New York, probably circa 1815, spread-wing eagle carved finial holding a chain of gilt balls and flanked by gilt and eglomisé finials, the eglomisé mirror plate depicting a landscape with house flanked by classical columns and over a rectangular mirror plate, 53 x 24-1/2 in. good condition overall, break and repair at one eagle's wing, typical cracking with some surface retouch to eglomisé finial surrounds, other scattered minor gilding losses, some distress to silvering on mirror plate, probably original mirror plate and eglomisé panel (not removed).
