Carved Mahogany Lady's Work Table probably New York, early 19th century, lift top with fitted interior, ratcheted and baize-lined writing board, dovetailed drawers with lion-mask brass pulls, turned and leaf-carved supports on leaf-carved and hairy-paw feet set on casters, poplar, ash and white pine secondary, 30 x 22-1/2 x 14-1/2 in., central crack, minor warping and veneer distress to top, writing board with later baize, scattered veneer patches, repairs and losses including 2 in. loss at left top drawer, some sun fading at proper left side.
