Boston area, 18th century, rich dense mahogany throughout with four block front long drawers, set on stepped bracket feet, dovetailed construction with white pine secondary, top drawer fitted with later dividers and fabric lining, 47 x 43 x 23-1/2 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, Kingsport, Tennessee
fitted with a modern mahogany top, brasses replaced, largely original feet and blocking (one rear bracket and scattered glue blocks replaced) , strip patch at one case side, scattered cracks and checking, some finish distress and varnish bloom
