England, late 18th and late 19th centuries, five plates from 'Dr. Wall' period, late 18th century, including Queen Charlotte pattern plate with scalloped edge, blue open crescent mark, 8-3/4 in., tiny flakes on foot rim, firing anomalies; two soup plates with scalloped rims polychrome painted with exotic birds in landscapes in their centers surrounded by richly gilded borders of floral swags and small arches with husks, blue open crescent mark on both, 8-3/4 in., tiny chips on foot of one, some discoloration on reverse, worn gilding, firing anomalies; two small scalloped plates with polychrome painted floral centers each surrounded by puce floral elements and blue border with gilt chain, blue open crescent mark on both, 7 in., worn gilding, tiny glaze chips on one, firing anomalies; together with a Coalport scalloped plate, late 19th century, polychrome painted in the center with a view of Oban (Scotland), blue and gold border, printed green crown mark with COALPORT, 9-1/2 in., old repair on one side covers cracks from rim, gilding worn, (total six pieces) .
