(German/American, 1886-1953)important art deco panel "The Falconer", executed by Ormos & Bardosky, 1924, designed for the Alamac Hotel, New York, brass, copper, nickel, zinc, and painted iron, in the medieval taste, depicting a falconer and their dog in a stylized landscape, with hardware for hanging, 54-1/2 x 47-1/2 in. - Note: This impressive panel was designed by Winold Reiss for the medieval themed grille room of the Alamac Hotel in New York. Period images of the panel installed in the grille room can be seen at winoldreiss.org and in the Winold Reiss photo collections at the Library of Congress.
