Note: The Canadian Guild of Crafts (now known as La Guilde) in Montreal shares an important historical connection with the legendary Haida artist Bill Reid. While Reid is most famously associated with the Pacific Northwest Coast, his time spent in Montreal and his interaction with major institutions like the Guild were pivotal to his career development and the wider appreciation of Indigenous fine crafts in Canada.
