Chests of Drawers British, circa 1700, elaborate marquetry inlays throughout, the top centering an urn of flowers with songbirds, shell and floral inlaid side panels and drawer facings, possibly original teardrop brasses, dovetailed drawers with oak linings, straight bracket feet, 35 x 37 x 22-1/4 in.. Provenance: The backboards with period inscription "Hon. C. Lawrence"; Malcolm Franklin, Chicago; Private Collection, Wilson, North Carolina

Condition

feet replaced, otherwise excellent condition, typical cracks and veneer flaws with scattered losses, repairs and minor warping
