Cameroonian, probably Kirdi or Kapsiki style, possibly early 20th century, cast bronze axe with elongated sickle shaped edge, braided rope and swirl decoration, with later leather and wire carrying strap, 15-5/8 x 8-1/2 in. - Provenance: Property from a Private Collection Sold to Benefit The University of Georgia Foundation
scattered surface scratches and areas of discoloration, solder repair at top edge of axe head, some minor casting flaws (possibly as made)
