Going to Market, signed lower left signed and inscribed "figures J. Ruyten/W. J. Boogaard 1880", also signed and inscribed verso "The undersigned declared/that this picture has been/ painted by himself to the/order of A. d'Huyvetter Jr./of Antwerp/WJ Boogaard./[les figures peint pour moi/Ruyten/anvers]" with wax seal, oil on panel, 10-3/8 x 15-3/4 in.; possibly original gilt wood and composition frame, good condition; frame regilt and with abrasions. Provenance: Inscription verso indicates it was commissioned from the artist by A. d'Huyvetter Jr. of Antwerp; Private Virginia Collection
