attributed to Halifax County, Virginia, 18th century, grand architectural form with dentil-molded cornice over two arched glazed doors, rattail hinges and shaped interior shelves, lower case with paneled doors on stepped molded base, retains some period glass, lower shelf of upper case wired for electricity, 100-1/2 x 58 x 30 in.. Condition: old refinishing, otherwise excellent condition, strip patch at one lower door, scattered minor cracks, patches and typical repairs, two cracks to glazed panels, upper shelf possibly moved (plugged patches at previous attachment).
