American, late 19th/early 20th century, arm with applied metal label "Laing's Planetarium Patented Laing Planetarium Co. Detroit, Mich. USA", with four orbs on a turned varnished fruitwood stand, 12-1/2 x 16 in., original varnished surface with wear, paper-lined earth generally good condition, other orbs with some wear and paint losses (sun apparently unpainted), base with only traces of applied paper.
