British, 19th century, circular form with hinged lid opening to finely fitted silk lined interior, set with silver and other sewing implements, pedestal form stand, finely decorated in gilding on black lacquer, 29-1/2 x 20-1/2 in.
excellent condition overall, some tears to interior silk, minor crack at hinge and small loss at top molding, some paint distress to top, other scattered minor flaws
