Boston, circa 1715, each with black painted frame with carved scrolled crest over caned central panel, caned seat with baluster turned front stretcher, Spanish feet, one with punchwork "IH" initials at back of lower backrest, each with a red wool loose seat cushion with mustard yellow piping, 45-1/4 x 17-1/2 x 14-1/2 in.

Conservation by Alan Miller, Terry Anderson, and Robert Trent. feet ended out 1-1/2 inches, restorations at seat frames at caning attachments (formerly over the rail upholstery), some minor distress at rear seat rail attachments, old dry paint surface with scattered losses and retouch, modern caning in good condition, modern loose feather cushions in good condition, cracks to seat frame at one caning attachment (caning slightly loose). Accompanied by conservation notes from Godfrey files.
