Dolphin Figural Centerpiece with Candelabra lidded and footed porcelain bowl set with four hand-painted medallions depicting allegorical and nautical scenes, white-glazed interior of bowl fitted with a gilt brass liner, the corners set with gilt porcelain lion mask mounts surrounded by ormolu garlands, the top fitted with elaborate cut candelabra in the Louis XV style, the base with four boldly formed stylized dolphins centering a porcelain plaque with hand-painted songbirds, the base with blue mark for Sèvres, set on a shell-mounted and scrolled molded base, 27 in. mounts regilt, two appliqués on scroll dolphin tails broken and repaired (some discoloration from reglazing), one other small leaf and floral appliqué likely replaced, some elements loose including one small element lacking a screw, minor dents to bobeches at cylindrical inserts (not visible when inserted), gilt metal liner of bowl interior resurfaced and with distress and corrosion, some light wear to gilding on porcelain, interior bowls with small burst bubbles (as made).
