British or American, 18th century, with figured, single board pie crust top tilting over a birdcage support with baluster turned columns, the tripod base set with a fluted and leaf carved baluster form support and ball and claw feet, 21 x 31 in. good condition overall, top with some warping and minor cracks, some stains and abrasions, edges of top with some later color (not re-shaped), appears to retain its original battens and brass catch, some very minor patches to pie crust molding, some wear to carving at top of knees, crack and repair at wooden hinge of support for top, base with original iron spider, formerly fitted with casters (now removed), key for top replaced and lacking donut
