The pointed slipper foot is an important feature in identifying New York as the origin of this tray top tea table, a rare form from the area. A similar example is in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago (acc. no. 1981.290) and another is in American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection, Vol. II. (1969), p. 307, no. 753.
