woodblock prints from the series "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo" (Meisho Edo hyakke), series and plate title cartouches to upper right corner, artist's signature to lower left, oban tate-e, comprising: "Dawn inside the Yoshiwara" (Kakuchu shinonome), no. 38, censor, publisher's, and date seal "Snake 4" (4th month, 1857) to lower left margin; "Fukagawa Lumberyards" (Fukagawa Kira), no. 106, publisher's seal and date seal "Dragon 8" (8th month, 1856) at top margin and cartouche at lower left margin; sheets both approx. 14-1/4 x 9-3/4 in; distressed white painted wood frames, 20-1/2 x 15-1/2 x 1 in.
